【全問掲載】《英語》高知県・公立高校入試A日程 問題と解答

2025年3月4日に行われた高知県の公立高校入試A日程「英語」の問題と解答は下記の通りです。

【リスニング】

 これから英語の学力検査を始めます。問題用紙と解答用紙に、受検番号を書いてください。
 1の問題を見てください。問題は放送によるテストで、A、B、C、Dの4問あります。英文はAでは1回、B、C、Dでは2回ずつ放送されます。放送中、問題用紙にメモをとってもかまいません。
 それでは、Aを始めます。Aは、放送される英文を聞いて、その内容に合うものを選ぶ問題です。問題は、No.1からNo.3まであります。それぞれの英文の内容に最もよく合うものを、アからエの4つから一つずつ選んで、記号で書いてください。英文は、それぞれ1回放送されます。では、始めます。

No.1 I want buy two carrots and three onions. I also want two tomatoes, please.
No.2 Welcome to the Kochi English Radio Station. This is Thomas Smith. I am now at Kochi Castle and looking down at the city from the top of it.
No.3 This graph shows how many cars each country made in 2003, 2013 and 2023. Japan was the first in 2003. The number of cars Japan made kept going down in the next twenty years. On the other hand, during these twenty years, Korea was the third, but China went up from the second to the first.

I am going to explain the project. You are going to do a presentation on the human body. When you prepare for the presentation, you can get information from books and the Internet. Please choose a topic about the human body, for example,

3 次の英文は、Renがくろしおくん(Kuroshiokun)について調べ、クラスでプレゼンテーションをしたときの原稿です。この英文を読んで、後の(1)~(3)の問いに答えなさい。

What is Kuroshiokun? I know that he is the mascot of Kochi Prefecture. I know that he is blue and has a nice smile, but I didn’t know where Kuroshiokun came from. At first, it was only a simple question. I asked my teachers my question and also did some research. I will tell you what I have found.
First, I found how Kuroshiokun was born. About 30 years ago, people in Kochi wanted a mascot for a symbol of Kochi Prefecture. Many people had ideas. Kuroshiokun was chosen from those ideas. Because people see energy and warmth in the Kuroshio Current, they thought Kuroshiokun could be the symbol of the prefecture with energy and warmth. Now we know Kuroshiokun is a wave of the Kuroshio. After learning about Kuroshiokun, I realized that I wanted to know more about the Kuroshio Current.
In social studies classes, I learned that the Kuroshio Current is an ocean current and that it is one of the largest ocean currents in the world. It starts near the Philippine Sea and goes to the north. It goes close to Taiwan, Okinawa, Kyushu and Shikoku. Then, it passes Honshu.
Do you know what color the Kuroshio Current is? When you look at the ocean, you can see many kinds of blue. The color of the Kuroshio is dark blue because it has more salt than other currents. The dark blue color of the Kuroshio can be seen from ships.
Then, I learned something more. I wondered how wide the Kuroshio Current is. It is about 100 kilometers! If you tried to go across it by bike, it would take 7 hours. Now I really understand how large it is. The Kuroshio is also a very fast and deep current. It travels about 100 kilometers in a day. It’s faster than you walk. It is hard to imagine but the Kuroshio goes as deep as 1000 meters below the ocean surface. It gets nutrients and minerals from the bottom of the ocean in warm areas. It carries those nutrients and minerals and travels along Honshu.
The Kuroshio Current is also a warm current, so there are many kinds of sea animals including bonitos, sea turtles and coral around Kochi. There are 7 kinds of sea turtles on the Earth and 5 of them are found in the Kuroshio. I was surprised and happy to learn these things, however, I was sad to find that some coral have been damaged because the Kuroshio has changed its course.
My question seemed simple at first, but as you can see, it was a great question. I started this research by finding out where the mascot came from and then I became interested in nature. I am proud of myself because I wondered why Kuroshiokun is Kuroshiokun.
